  • Growth in Tomball, Texas

    Growth in Tomball, Texas

Tomball, Texas used to be a little bitty town outside of Houston.  We locals used to “escape” to Tomball to visit the antique shops and to have a marguerita at Rinks Matador.

Today, Tomball is a large town or small city (however you view it) with growth happening daily.  The population has increased in the last three years due to many families moving to Tomball to escape the big city of Houston and the even bigger state of California.  Businesses are opening up, restaurants are putting up signs, and the city is busy building the needed infrastructure.

Tomball has a very nice website that lists many of the advantages of visiting Tomball.  You can get to their website at https://tomballtx.gov.

You can also access their Annual Report that highlights the city’s efforts to maintain the small-town feel with modern upgrades to the city services, such as emergency management (with grants) and wastewater treatment facilities and equipment.

On their webpages, you can see a comprehensive list of festivals held in Tomball (we DO love our festivals).

Don’t forget the Texas Renaissance Festival in October/November.  This is a HUGE festival with artisans from all over the United States dressing in costumes.  The locals dress up and have a great couple of weekends every year.

And Corral RV Resort is only 30 minutes from The Woodlands, one of the celebrated planned communities in the State of Texas.  Tomball is close to The Woodlands but without the high costs associated there.  See our other blogs to talk about entertainment.

Supporting services are springing up:  dog walkers, babysitters, small clubs – the entrepreneurs and part-timers are busy all the time.

If you want friendly people, this is the place to be.  At Corral RV Resort we have both long-term residents (who mostly drive into Houston for employment) and short-term travelers who come in for a couple of weeks or even for just a weekend for a certain festival.

If you want a well-managed location with amenities (see our website www.corralrvresort.com), this is the place to visit.
